An interesting statistic became part of the reason that we formed PeopleBest. Did you know that the average person spends 90,000 hours of their life working?
We knew from being employees or managing employees, that spending time doing a job is one thing, but being fulfilled is another. We experienced all the same joys and mostly frustrations of having to hire, train, and sometimes fire the wrong person. A cycle that needed to be changed.
As a favor to a friend, we reviewed assessment tools for his executive search business. We thought this should be an answer to all the frustrations we knew as leaders. Having looked dozens and dozens of them, we came to the conclusion that……. (traditional assessments just don’t cut it)
And then, Michael Lewis’s Moneyball hit the shelves, and everything changed. The book’s insights about data-driven decision-making illuminated a powerful truth: knowing a person’s personality doesn’t reveal what they can achieve.
